My cat has really dry skin. He is a black cat and when I pet him, he is just covered in dandruff. Are there any products out there I can buy to give him more moisturized skin and less dandruff?

It most likely is due to his diet. You may need to feed him special food aimed at managing dry skin and fur. My cat had the same problem until we got him off friskies.

Sometimes the best remedy for dandruff in cats and dogs is to add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to their food once or twice a week. This adds moisture to the fur, and sometimes calms the dandruff.
A really good brushing 2 or 3 times a week also works wonders for calming the dandruff.
There are a lot of topical treatments for cat dandruff as well, really to many to name here. A call to your vet would get the name of a good brand.
You may also want to have your cat checked for exczema.

There are cat wipes you can buy at any pet store that will "bathe" your cat without the use of water and this will help control the dandruff, properly called dander. The link below also lists other options.

what i would do is go out and get a good grooming tool, some cleaning wipes, and some coat fresher. all these things you can get at your local pet store. Bathe him, Groom him, than finish it off with the coat fresher. Do this 2 or 3 times a week until you see a difference. it will help reduce dander and make thier coats shiny and smelling good.Grooming them alone will help out alot!

You can try using Relief Creme Rinse . (see the link below)

However, a poor hair-coat can be a sign of disease. Diabetes, allergies and hyperthyroidism are common causes of dander. It may be worth having your vet check your cat if this problem continues.

Good luck :)

try adding a bit of oil to her diet as well as giving her a cooked egg once in awhile, it will help add moisture to her skin.

you can also use milk bath shampoo on her to moisturize. if she is an indoor kitty, maybe adding a humidifer will help.

You can get milk bath shampoo here:

Try adding tuna in oil to his diet once or twice a week...the oil will work wonders and will help prevent hairballs too.
