I have to say to all that claim women don't serve in combat roles are wrong. Yes we can't be granted a combat job but we can have another job and be assigned into combat positions. Who do you think goes on raids with the combat arms soldiers/marines to handle any females? WOMEN. Who do you think are driving the fuel trucks getting ambushed an hit by IEDs WOMEN. Ya'll ever hear about the Helo pilot who got shot down and landed her helo with her legs blown off...yup you got it a WOMAN! I personally served as front gate security, dealing with armed Iraqis and potential car bombs every day and for the second half of my tour was a gun truck commander for convoy security. Thats a COMBAT position! I was the only non-combat arms in the platoon. My job is supposed to be legal specialist and I have not once served in that position. We are right along side the men now days ask any man who has had a female medic get out of her armored truck to assist a wounded soldier/marine. We have earned the right to not have folks say we don't/can't serve in combat, Bull$%^&
