Didn't your vet recommend removing it or perhaps lancing it? It sounds more like an abcess or infection than a true tumor. I would take my dog back to the vet for treatment. Without it a big abcess could become septic in his blood and kill the dog.

I think you are referring to a sebaceous cyst. Does what the link describes sound like what your dog has? If it is, keep an eye on it. Sometimes they don't burst when they really need to or they end up seriously infected. A hot compress usually helps but check with your vet first to see if he recommends that. When it does burst, it is going to need squeezed daily to get it cleaned out. If you really feel you cannot do that, ask your vet if he would consider removing it surgically. Also consider surgery to remove the gland if this reoccurs in the same spot/gland repeatedly.

If your vet said it will burst, it's probably a cyst. But if you're not sure, you should speak to your vet. Also, ask if it's supposed to be hot. A high temperature can indicate an infection.

I suggest you call back your vet, and ask him.
If it is a skin irritation (hot spot?)..then he will need antibiotics.
Call you vet...your first priority is to make certain that your dog is not suffering, while you are on the computer.

Sounds like a cyst or possibly a hemotoma. Hopefully, your vet told you how to tend to it properly once it starts draining.

Maybe consult with your vet about having it lacerated and have a drainage tube put in and it may need antibiotics too.
