4 years med school.
3 years residency.
Depending on the subspecialty, 3 years of fellowship.

Then you are there.

Well, it depends on what point you are at in school. In general it takes 4-6 yrs of college/university work until you go to med school. Then add 4 yrs of med school and you are a doctor. Basically, 8-10 yrs normally. However, some people take diff. and odd routes like becoming nurses then going to med school yrs later bc of money or they don't get in the first few tries (which is really common) and then go like a yr or 2 later

it is suppose to take up to four yrs but if you are very smart it will take two yrs
