One hot chocolate is not going to pack on the pounds, but sugar free hot chocolate with no marshmallows would be better.

It depends on what kind of diet your on. But sugar in it and marshmellow is fattening on any diet. If this is prepackaged hot cocoa mix, I'm sure it is fattening. You can make you own with a Box of Hershey's or Nestle's cocoa powder. I know on one or maybe both the recipe is on the box. Instead of sugar you could substitute Splenda. Also you could substite a diet type of milk for the milk.I'm on a low carb diet, so I use a low carb drink that is like milk. Here is the recipe on the Hershey's box.
2 tbsp. sugar or a diet sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
Dash of salt
1 cup milk or milk substitute
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in a large mug. Heat milk in microwave at high 1-1/2 minutes or til hot.Gradually add milk or cocoa mixture; stir well. Stir in vanilla.

Yes, it is fattening. In addition to the chocolate mixture, there is additional fat and calories in milk and marshmallows. If you want to cut this down consider buying a low cal. hot chocolate mix and eliminate the milk and marshmallows.

Anything is ok in moderation. Just don't drink them everyday without any exercise. You just have to balance out your calories. So, no one hot chocolate is not fattening. Enjoy!

It can be, it depends on what percent of milk did you use, and if your hot chocolate and marshmallows are sugar free or fat free, if you use sugar free hot chocolate and fat free marshmallows with fat free milk than it is not fattening at all.....

foods are not fattening, calories are.
it depends on how many calories you have had in one day, if its more than you have spent then the difference will be stored in your body as fat.
