The person sent text msgs, called the police saying i was harrassing them. They made a fake profile on a website with pictures of me and pictures of a woman and faxed it to my wife's job, they called my job trying to get me fired. all this because i chose not to be friends anymore because of circumstances. the police won't help me but instead they served me with a trespassing warning when i never bothered to be in the neighborhood oh the other person. i tried the same thing for a trespassing warning and the told me no. I have a witness that was told by her that she is going to make my life miserable. THIS PERSON IS MY SISTER. what can i do?

Go to a (lawyer first then a) judge and file charges.
That's why we have separation of powers.

Your problem is this....because the harassment charge is a misdemeanor. An officer cannot arrest someone if he did not witness the offense as it occurred.

The officer, I'm assuming took a report which you get from the police department. Once you get your copy of the report...you go to the court clerks office and file a warrant.

Once YOU file the warrant...you wait for the police to execute the warrant!

Contact your local police department who will be able to explain the process in full!

Best wishes!

Most states have laws that would allow you to file for a civil harassment restraining order. Laws and procedures vary by state, so you should consult a local attorney on the procedures.

Beyond that, you might try getting a third party to intervene and talk to your sister about his. Perhaps a pastor, your parent or a close friend or relative might be willing to assist you with this issue.

Get a restraining order. Keep track of evidence. Keep track of witnesses. Be willing to file/press charges.
