Yes, go to the health food store and get a powdered magnesium that is called Calm. Don't take too much or it will give you diarrhea but it works great. It costs $20 for about a month and a half supply. It's not nearly as expensive as the new drug that's out and it is a natural remedy. The drug has a lot of side effects one of which is leg pain. I tried it and about died with leg pain so my granddaughter took it as she has restless leg, too. It made her legs hurt too. I used to take it every night at bed time but I've figured out that caffeine is what give me RLS. I gave up soda, coffee and tea years ago but now even the small amounts in chocolate set it off. If I wake in the night with RLS I get up and take the calm and in a few minutes I can go back to sleep. I think the directions say to put it in a cup of hot water (it's lemon flavored) and drink it like tea. I didn't like it at all so I let it dissolve in a very small amount of hot water and drink it like a shot. My life was hell before my Dr told me about it. I would have it clear up my spine and would walk the floor with it. At that time, I didn't know caffeine was giving it to me and ate all the chocolate I wanted. Now, if I'm craving chocolate I'll eat a little bit and take the calm that night and it still works great. Good Luck and God Bless

Oh that's awful. I had it when I was a teen all the time.I would do jumping jacks in my room, and kick the heck out of my bed like I was having a seizure. I get it once in a while now if I'm really stressed about something. Stretching before bed does help. Relaxation therapy helps me. Soma helps. I don't like the meds that they make especially for RLS.

YES... Quinine works quite well and was the active ingredient in "Legatrim" which is no longer available because Quinine can also cause an abortion... it's what they give in the 3rd world to cause abortions.

i used to have that problem. but after i join the soccer team, i would be soo tired, that i was out like a light.

if it's hard to fall asleep, try going for a half-hour or so jog (or just enough to get you tired) before going to bed.

There is a medication advertised on TV for it. I do not recommend it, knowing nothing about it, but ask your doctor.
