I don't think I've ever actually seen a bottle of salad dressing go bad. Maybe that bottle wasn't so great to begin with. In any event, why eat anything that smells strange? Toss it out.

Consider learning to make your own. Its easy. Its fresh. Its better than store stuff and cheaper, too.

It relies upon what's in those dressing bottles, yet (perchance you're able to checklist the factors...?)... some herbs you are able to upload are: oregano, sage, basil, pepper, very few warm pepper. I advise to function purely a pair of the above, not all at comparable time. then you definately may additionally upload chopped onions or scallion. No garlic. "she mentioned 2 bottles of dressing yet im gunna start up with a million and notice how that is going..i can consistently upload extra if i could cuz 2 sounds like a ton of dressing" you're good :)

IF it says best before JAN 2007...umm we're now into MARCH 2007......so that would be why it smells nasty* DO NOT USE IT* It needs to be thrown out or you'll end up with food poisioning.
ALWAYS check the dates on anything before assuming it's ok*

It's sometimes a gamble, the date is saying that that is the longest they can assure freshness, not that immediately after that date it's spoiled.
So it's up to you, if it's a creamy dressing I wouldn't risk it, if its a vinager based dressing, like italian, or vinagreitte, it probably would be ok.
I always ask myself if the cost of the item to replace is worth the er bill if I get sick from it.

If it says "best before", then it means you could still eat it after the best before day but the quality of the product is gonna go down. If it says "expire", then you probably don't want to eat it after the expired day. For me, I would certainly smell it after the best before or expired day, if it doesn't smell right, it's better not to eat it.
