I'm currently expecting and my 2 year old has been more tempermental than usual. I was told that some kids act up when their moms are expecting, and return to normal after the baby is born. Could this be true?

It doesn't have anything to do with mom being pregnant. It has to do with the anxiety in the air. Ever notice how toddlers get "wild" around Christmas time? They don't necessarily know what Christmas is all about, they just know that things are different and everybody is excited and busy. Not to mention, as a 2 year old, he/she is between being a baby and a big boy/girl. Your 2 year old will be just fine. Just try to be patient and treat him/her like you always have.
Good Luck and Congrats on the baby.

its very true for me. my son is three and we had no problems at 2. I am 28 weeks along and hes very testy, gets in trouble at school now. (almost everyday) even resorts to biting now!

Nothing has changed at home, except that im pregnant! he hugs my belly and sings to the baby, so he seems excited.
But it could also be the terrible 3's. (your could be the terrible 2's)

I have to remember its that age too!

So really im in your same boat! Guess we'll just have to stick it out ans reassure our tots that they are loved and are not being replaced!

My son is 5 and I have noticed some changes throughout my pregnancy with him.. poor baby even said I was going to replace him. It broke my heart.. so I try to make him part of this baby all the time. He knows I will love them both no matter what.. but he still has his moments.

i dont know if its scientifically proven but for the past month or 2, 3 year old has been VERY "rotten" with me (i am 34 weeks pregnant) i was wondering if it was because i was sometimes too tired to play like i used to with her, but maybe its actualy because she is realizing that there is another baby coming (which i have explained to her)
