A cocatoo! I worked at a pet store and took care of one until she was sold. She was soooo sweet! I wanted her so bad, I almost cried when I sold her! I would put her on my shoulder and walk around the store doing my job. She just loved being with me. A very sweet, very intelligent bird!

I love my Sun Conure, Duncaan. He's got the greatest personality. I can sit there and watch him play and I laugh at the things he does. He is rarely noisy but when he does get on a "kick" it's loud, but it only lasts a few minutes. He is also protective of me - I guess you could say. If I'm on the phone getting mad and raising my voice at someone, he starts sqwauking as if too say "hey stop upsetting my mom"...if someone else comes in my bedroom (that's where his cage is) he makes noise. He loves to cuddle with me. He goes to bed and get's up by himself when he wants. He definately doesn't like to be woken up - which is great when I want to sleep in. These Suns definately have an individual personality too --- mine doesn't like toys but love chewing on rope like branches. He is a picky eater but loves his papaya and sunflower. Honestly, I don't think I would ever get another kind of bird. He is a great companion and his coloring is amazingly beautiful. Just remember to do your research on birds, no matter what breed you choose, They can't have things like avocado, salt, chocolate. You must keep them away from teflon (non-stick cookware) it is toxic to all birds - keep them in a different room from where you cook where you can close the door.

There is no certain breed that is 100% non-aggressive it all depends on bird them self. But I would suggest getting a DNA Male if a smaller bird. Most larger birds become a little of a hand full when reaching sexual maturity. I would suggest looking at your local animal shelter or www.petfinder.com.

Hand raised cockatiels are a great choice. I have a female who is very sweet! She loves to sit on your shoulder. She even takes naps with me. She is also pretty quiet which is huge bonus (I have a conure who is loud enough for bot of them ). She loves people and other birds. If i leave her in one room and go into another room, she will follow me until i pick her up again. We have also trained her to give kissses which is too cute! Good luck!

There are several types of birds that will do as you described, but please dont thinnk that you can buy one off the shelf and espect it to be your best friend. This will take time, patience and love. I have a Quaker parrot, he is loyal to my hubby and I, he is very protective of us. He speaks very well and has the vocabulary of a 4 year old child. They are very smart and again, loyal. I believe if you can get a young bird that you can hand feed, that bird will become very attached to you and you can build your relationship from there.
Good luck to you!

I'm a fan of budgies. They're small, sweet and many can learn to talk. Mine chats it up with me and his mate all the time. You just need to be able to spend a good amount of time with them to make them really sociable. Mine does everything with me- watches tv, does dishes, cooks, cleans, goes into the bathroom (yes, I even take him into the bathroom with me- he usually tries to take a bath when I start washing my hands)...
Budgies are inexpensive, easy to care for, though they can get a bit messy.

No, because the only you marry isn't your enemy. i don't think of that white human beings are an enemy to my race because the only's who're I usually do not carry close with me or talk over with me. particular there are white those that dislike me because of the colour of my epidermis yet I doubt they are waiting in line to marry or date me. some white human beings have accomplished undesirable issues to human beings of diverse races and nonetheless do yet there are reliable white those who desire no longer something yet love and recognize for all of us.
