I just recieved my wedding invitations in the mail!!! My wedding is in July and I don't know how far in advance I should give out the invitations.
I am mailing some locally, some out of state, and others out of the country, and I am hand delivering some as well.
Does anyone know how far in advance I should send each invitation out for each particular delivery?

I know that all the ones in the country should be mailed 4-6 weeks before the wedding. As far the ones out of country, I would mail them 8 weeks before, just to be safe. I'm hand delivering some myself and I'm plan to wait till 4 weeks to hand those out.

When is your "Please respond by" date? My wedding is June 2nd, my invitations will be in by next week, I was told they should be in the mail the first week of April. My "PRB" date is May 10th, which gives me a little more time than "normal" but I was told where my numbers are so big, and people always respond late, that this was a good time frame.
As far as in state/out of state/out of country is concerned, I don't know. You should give your guests at least six weeks notice (then again the invitation should not be their first word of your impending nuptials), and yourself at least three to plan seating, etc. So, if your wedding is, say, the 14th of July your response date should be at least June 23, if not the 16th but your guests should receive them in the mail by the end of May/beginning of June, so you should send them out the last full week in May (20-26th). Whenever your wedding is, count back seven to eight weeks before (just to make sure you give yourself plenty of time).
If it's a smaller wedding, give yourself six weeks or so.
Good luck!

You should mail your invitations a month in advance to your wedding. If you are mailing some out of state I would advise you mail them a week ahead of the others you plan to mail in a month advise. Each one should be delivered at least a month in advance.

id say 6-8 weeks. for the out-of-the-country, give them about 8-10 weeks before the wedding. it usually takes 10-12 days for the out of the country delivery so might as well give them extra time.

Etiquette says to send the invitations two months in advance. All invitations should be postmarked on the same day. Just be warned that if you're sending at different times, your guests' feelings might be hurt because you sent one invite before the other. Believe me... it happens!

I got married in Mid July last year and we mailed them in early May.....however I had graduated from college in early may so we wanted to make sure they were sent out after the graduation.....
we also sent out save the date 8 months in advance for out of state guests........
you want to make sure you send it out before people make plans in the summer especially if it's around the 4th of July.
