Cats can get an upper respiratory infection (URI) commonly known as the kitty cold. It's caused by the calici virus. If your cat has been vaccinated with the distemper vaccination series, she will have been offered some protection.
Did you just get your cat??

Stress, a new enviroment, etc. can bring one on.
If you are seeing a boogery nose, then you know a secondary infection is present and a vet visit is in order to get antibiotics. Do you have any other cats? This is a contagious disease and they may become infected as well unless the sneezing one is isolated

Cats can get "colds" and most self resolve just as a cold does for us. However a cats appetite is often related to it's sense of smell - meaning a cat that can't smell well may not eat well and for an overweight cat this can be a big problem if goes on for any length of time.

Cats can have allergies, although they very rarely have sneezing as a symptom of an allergy.

Other things can cause sneezing too that are much more uncommon than a virus. If the sneezing persists, worsens, the cat loses it's appetite or develops a colored eye or nose discharge you should bring it to the vet.

It could have an allergy to something but don't forget they can get the cat flu too especially if they are kept outside because they can catch it from other cats just keep an eye on it if it doesn't improve in a few days take your cat to the vet because even if it is just an allergy the vet may be able to give it something to help

Allergies with animals are more common as skin allergies and don't usually affect the respiratory system. Call the vet for an appointment because it could be the beginning of an upper respiratory infection (URI), but if it's an adult cat it's not as common. If you just adopted him from a shelter the chances for a URI would be higher. He may just have dust stuck in his nose, but talk to the vet to be sure.

Yes. It could be allergic to something. My cat got sick when i was moving one time because i had a bunch of boxes around. They can catch colds, and pneumonia, and they can have allergies.
