If your teacher gives you a review sheet, ask for an extra copy. Make sure you get all the correct answers on the first one (ask the teacher, other students, look in the book, etc.), then put it away and work your extra copy like it was a test (with no help). Check your answers and see what you still need to work on, then go to your book and work some of that type of problem.

If you don't get a review, do basically the same thing with some of the problems from your homework assignments from that unit/chapter. If you can work problems similar to the ones that will be on the test, then when you get the test, the problems will look familiar.

One last tip-if there are any formulas, be sure you have them memorized and know when to use them and what information goes where in the formula.

There isn't really a way to memorize math things, but keep practicing some math problems. It helps.

Ask your teacher to show you how to do the problems again, then practice with problems not given for homework. After awhile you will catch on and start passing your tests.
