Yes and know. Arabic Christians use the term allah, but the a*lah worshipped by muslims is different. Any muslim will tell you their god cannot do things the god Christians serve can such as have a son, put himself into a human body and allow that body to be killed.

Since there is only one God in both religions then they are most probably the same God :D
There are 5 main religions accepted by Muslims. Christianity is one of them. So again, Islam must have the same God in order to accept Christianity as a religion.

Not only is he the same god, but Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all the same fundamental religion started by Abraham. Sadly this religion is usually at war with itself and its three factions. If one of the three faiths ever winds up being isolated by the other two, then it splinters yet again and wars with itself over even more minute and pointless differences... and so on and so on.

in it's very basest form, monotheism is th belief that there is one god, and that everybody else in the world who doesn't believe in your own limited view of him is inherently wrong. If you cede for just a second and consider that perhaps you yourself are not all-knowing... then you're a hell-bound agnostic and must be "saved" by other megalomaniacs.

It's essentially a pyramid scheme that perceptually appears to work in reverse.

Can't be because the Christian God is Love itself and is full of mercy while Allah has no mercy and is all about hatred and killing anyone of another religion. The Christian God gives us the free will choice to do his will or not. The Christian God loves everyone whether they believe in him or not and only wants what is best for them.

Couldn't be. Part of the trinity of Christianity is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son Jesus is part of the trinity therefore Jesus is God in the flesh. Muslims don't worship Jesus as God and only believe He is a prophet. Jesus claims He is God. In the gospel of John Jesus says "Before Abraham was I Am." Pretty obvious what Jesus is saying isn't it?

Technically... No...

Allah is the same name they use, but the same God? Hell, no.

The Allah of the Muslims is ONE GOD, not three godheads that make up a single deity, like some snap-crackle-pop theory.

The Allah/God of the Christians in modern times is a polytheistic triune god whom they sorely defend as one god. However, they cannot answer the simple question of, if that was God's true nature to be THREE and not ONE, then why does the Bible not mention Abraham, Jacob/Israel, Jesus, Zechariah, Moses, Elijah, Jonah, Malachi, etc. praying to a Trinity? ... Ever? Or why would Jesus pray to himself in the Garden of Gethsemane?

Edit: To 'gnostic' below me... Where did YOU come from? The name 'Allah' came from the Aramaic word 'Eloh' and 'Eloh'/'Allah' was a word that signifies 'something worthy to be worshiped' or 'GOD'. It didn't come from some Hindu origin... WOW...

YES . Allah is the same god for all of us : Muslims ,Christians and Jews .
name Allah means God in the Arabic language :)

PS: the god of Christianity is not Jesus (peace be up on him ), and he is not divided or something . Allah (god) is a one and only one god , he is the creator of this universe with no partners .
he sent many holy books and prophets , and every one will be judged in the hereafter according to his deeds as no one ever died for our sins .

Simple look up God in the dictionary

God

noun
supreme being: the being believed in monotheistic religions such as Judaism, Islam, and Christianity to be the all-powerful all-knowing creator of the universe, worshiped as the only god

Now for Allah, this is an arabic word for God
ilah is the arabic word for diety, or god

Arab Christians say Jesus was the Son of Allah

[002.135] And they say, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say (to them O Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him), "Nay, (we follow) only the religion of Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Hanîf [Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but God (Alone)], and he was not of Al-Mushrikûn (those who worshipped others along with God – see V.2:105)."

[002.136] Say (O Muslims): "We believe in God and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ'îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and 'Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)."

[002.137] So, if they believe in the like of that which you believe then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So God will suffice for you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

So when you are saying Allah or pray to Allah, it is praying to whom the Christians refer to as the ' Father '. They seem to forget that he is the All-Mighty, the only one worthy of worship.

Peace Be With You
