My boyfriend has the flu, I just have an upset stomach but I do not have the flu, but anyway what type of food should he eat, besides soup and veggies, what types of food is okay for him to eat so he won't have to run to the bathroom again to throw up or to have diareah again? Some good food he can keep down and that's good for a flu.

Tell him not to eat or drink for an hour after throwing up. That's the first important thing. If he doesn't vomit in that hour, have him drink a small amount of lemon water or flat lemon-lime soda. If he's still not vomited again, repeat this every 15 minutes.
After a few hours, assuming the vomiting hasn't returned, start drinking lots of liquids to replace the lost fluids. Water, teas, fruit juices, broths, and prepared jello. Avoid the green jello, as this causes vomitting in some.
Gradually add bland foods back into the diet. Breads, crackers, etc. Do not drink anything when eating these.
For diarhea symptoms, eat bannanas, rice, bread. DO NOT eat or drink dairy, as this can make diarhea worse.

For cold and flus, it's important that you eat a lot of vitamin C, and also that you frequently replace fluids. SInce it's a viral infection, there isn't really much by the way of a cure, but it's strongly reccomended that a healthy, nutritious diet will aid recovery. In the short term, decongestants and painkillers should do the trick. As for the diarrhea, it's generally thought that you eat little, drink lots and sit it out. So basically, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. He's quite literally in the ****.

first, your bodies reaction to flu and bugs is to raise its own internal temperature to burnt out the disease. you sweat more so you MUST drink as much water as you can. sometimes you cant eat anything, but dry toast is good. if you can keep things down, oranges are number1, its the vitamin c that will help your body get better quicker. if you have diahorrea you must also drink plenty of water, if you wrap up warm and try and sleep it off if you can

OOO, tough luck. The only few things that i suggest is that 1st- he needs to take vitamin C. Orange juice is probably the most popular form but otherwise my son takes chewable tablets that taste kind of like sunny-D. Otherwise, drink clear liquids or even pop like sierra mist or sprite can help settle the stomach. otherwise just a lot of rest is the key. I know, i actually just got over something like this. But i suggest for you also is to start taking vitamin C to prevent getting it! Hope this helps and good luck! ~bugs~
