I was on 12.5 mg of paxil for years and it worked great for my anxiet and panic attacks except it made me gain a ton of weight and made it impossible to lose it. ive tryed lexapro, prozac, celexa, and effexor and none of them worked. does anyone have any personal advice on buspar. i take 10mg at 9am and 10mg at 9pm,

I was on buspar and titrated up to 90 mg/ day for 2 months. I found it didn't help with anxiety at all.
In fact, I didn't notice it having any effect on anything for that matter.

Since you liked the paxil, why not go back on it? To counter the weight gain, take wellbutrin with your paxil. Wellbutrin is a antidepressant that is a mild stimulant and gives you energy, but is no good for anxiety. A combination of drugs, plus go a strict low-fat diet and walk 40 minutes a day.

I couldn't take it. It made my heart race. I also got pregnant while taking it and I ended up having a miscarriage, even though I quit using it right away when I found out.
