Maybe he's a little uncomfortable talking on the phone. Some people prefer face to face talking, especially if it's intimate stuff.
If you're trying to talk about feelings, he may feel 'safer' with the distraction of a game in his hands.
Or could be you're just calling too often. Play hard to get. Stop calling and he may wonder where you went and call you. You don't have to play games about it, tho'. Just be straightforward. Say, "You're busy. If you feel like talking later, give me a call", in a friendly way and hang up and find something fun to do with girlfriends or on your own for a while. Give him his space and he may come to realize he misses the phone calls.

LOL..i feel your pain girl!!! My man is the same way..except I'm in the same da*n room as him and cant get an answer to anything unless i get loud and am serious! All other conversations wait until he is finally done with the games! So there is no real way to get a mans attention when its on those games...dont feel bad, it happens to the best of us. You could go play the game with him ....thats what i end up doing if i want time with him, or i just go out for a bit and hope when i come back he will be done. But dang!! Them boys can play for hours!! Dont know how...good luck on that! If you figure it out please let me know!

I would suggest coming over unnanounced with a rented/borrorwed video game (find out what's hot and bring that). This will let him know that you can hang out and enjoy some of the same things he does. The only thing is that you don't look like one of the guys! :-)
Then ask him to do something with you that you really enjoy. This will show that you are taking a personal interest in him.
If he doesn't respond to this -you might consider throwing this one back. Get the attention and respect you deserve!

The redhead is right. Boobs work. Otherwise, just know that guys are very visual creatures and often don't "give good phone." It sucks, but its a fact of life. Videogames can be a strong distraction and the bottom line is, if he won't put it down, you are going to get bad phone. Is he alone as he plays or does he have roommates, friends or family playing? If that's the case, it's even worse because if he stops playing they have to also. So, my advice is to set up a time in advance and a time limit to chat or accept the fact that your man just gives bad phone.

My husband still plays video games after five years of marriage and 7 years of being together. It never ends, they are a video game generation and it will just be an age and maturity issue. I don't thin k my husband will ever be mature enough to get over it, it's just how they are. I just learned to get over it. He pay splenty of attention to me at other times, so I just find something I like to do while he is doing that.

U can't compete with the video game. Maybe if you don't call him for a while see if he misses you. If he calls.Say you didn't want 2 disturb your game & that your busy doing some girl thing???? or watching a move. 2 call you later. Keep this up see if he gets the hint if not replace him.Just my thought.

I say unplug the freakin' game and toss it out the window, but since I've noticed this generation of slovenly, game addicted boys will possibly kill you for this indiscretion, dump his butt & find an older man who's NOT interested in video games and will still have a brain in 5 years.

Why dont you ask him this. If he doesnt answer or responds negatively towards you... I hope you realize that its highly possible he isnt mature enough for you. You need a guy who can recognize what he has with you and WANTS to be with you. And can actually shut off the stupid video game for a little while to hang out or talk with you. Good luck

Evidently not....in answer to your last question.
Many people have ways of winding down - his is video games...why not just ask him to call you back when he has finished playing and stop getting your skirts all blown up!
==================================
Don't any of you answerers READ ? Most replies were as if she and he are in the same house/room - she SAID 'I CALL him every night to talk to him...'....meaning he lives elsewhere

First of all, you are talking on the phone. He'll notice you more in person than on the phone. Go OUT somewhere and do something that doesn't involve World of Warcraft, or Ms. Pacman, or whatever he's into. THAT'S how he'll notice you. Maybe if he enjoys the time he spends with you he'll spend less time on the machine.
