When I was 18-23 I could drink a bottle of tequila, I stopped drinking so much and litterly stopped for about a year. Now I can only drink beer and certain shots. If I have anything with tequila in it or straight tequila I black out? Why is that?

Age. Im 35 and I miss my younger years. You just cant do the sh!t you used to do,thats all. BTW,blacking out is really really bad for you,its been proven to cause irrepriable brain damage,..do that enough and you will reap the consequences.

Its the concentration of alcohol in the drinks you have. You are getting too much aklcohol at once with the tequila and stronger shots. Beer has a lower alcohol contect and so doesnt hit you with the same force.

Not only is the alchol content higher in tequila but alcolhol, itself is a poison to the system. If you drank that much of it when you were younger, then stopped, you made your system sensitive to that particular poison.
