I want delicious "taco bell" tasting tacos at home, how do I do it???I'm cool with the shells and toppings, it's the ground beef I have a problem with. How do I prepare the ground beef so it's delicious and awesome like Taco Bell or other Mexican restaurant style ground beef, what's the secret trick?

I know about the seasoning packs, I've tried about all of them. But no matter what I try, I'm not satisified with the results. They just don't come out right, the texture of the ground beef and the flavor (regardless of pre-packaged seasoning I use), just isn't up to par with what I can get at Taco Bell. Does anyone understand what I'm trying to ask?

I know this sounds weird but buy the Taco Bell seasoning and after you cook the meat put it in a food processor and grind it up then return it to the pan and add the seasoning and simmer like the pack says. I promise it will be Delish I have done it. I had the same problem.

First one has to question whether the meat they use is real ground beef.
Taco Bell actually does have their own brand of seasonings in the markets that you can try. But any taco seasoning is good. My favorite is Pace taco seasoning. Also you can add garlic, onion, green peppers to the meat for extra flavor.

there is a kit in you local grocery store. It is all the stuff you need to make a good taco, except the meat. You can find this in the goya food isle, or the ethnic stuff. Ask peolple if you cant find it but it is a taco bell taco kit, and there is three or four different ones you can choose.
there is a sauce in this kit that makes your tacos taste just like taco bells
i tried these kits and they are the best tacos ever

Cook the ground beef, then add taco seasoning, then fill the taco seasoning packet with water adn add that, then add two cans of refried beans. It may not be the same as the Taco Bell tacos but it is damn good.

At the grocery in the spice section they have taco meat spice. It has instructions on the packet. It's much cheaper than buying all the spices individually. I live in Texas where we eat a lot of tacos and even old mexican ladys buy the packet. Sometimes it's by the powdered gravy mix.

Buy the taco bell seasoning, they sell it at walmart, do not overcook the meat, but fully cook it...and always spread some of the juice from the meat (already cooked) over the tortilla shell, this makes it taste better.

First thing to do is find spices you like, a good mix of kosher salt, chile powder, cumin, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oragano is a good start. Season your meat before cooking. Then get a pan good and hot around med-high to high heat is good. Do not use any oil in the pan just the meat, let the meat cook on high heat uncovered until you get a good dark color on the meat. Then mix meat around until all of it is cooked through, wait for the meats juices reduce in the pan and enjoy some tasty tacos.
