American Bulldogs generally pull the most weight pound for pound. In terms of total weight pulled, try drafting dogs such as the Bernese Mountain Dog or Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Also, the Newfoundland, or even the Husky or Rottweiler, have been known to pull great amounts. Just make sure you use the appropriate harness, wait until your dog has reached maturity (so you don't injure it or stunt it's growth), and have fun!

Yep like cmann said....American Bulldogs hold many records in the various weight classes. Pit Bulls also hold most of the records in the lighter classes as well.
BamBam an American Bulldog bred by Mountain Gator Kennels held the record for several years in the 90 lb. class with a wheeled pull of 4389 lbs. Thats a lb for lb difference of 47 to 1. Very Impressive! Check the link below to check out the latest lines.

The working group breeds. I imagine the sled dog breeds are most suited to weight pulling although I have seen some American Bulldogs compete successfully in weight pulling competitions.

the record is held by a johnson american bulldog the american bull can out pull most other breeds but i have a friend with an american pitbull that does pretty good for a 65 pound dog

I think that beagles can pull alot of weight pound for pound,if your walking one on a leash and they catch on a scent there is no stopping them . I think if you had a 200 lb beagle it would be able to pull just about anything!

honestly it would be a husky, thats why they use them as "sled dogs".
