I would reccommend something that likes to run.
Labs and Retrievers tend to have a lot of hip and heart problems, which people don't know, but they do get along with everyone. Both types of dogs also are prone to weight issues so it's hard to promise you will have a normal 50 - 65lbs. labrador.
I would recommend something from the sporting group. A Weimaraner (70 lbs.) is a good choice as is a Pointer (similar in size) or a Vizsla (40 - 55lbs.). All are highly intelligent dogs with minimal health issues - occasionally bloat.

I would 1st recommend that she go to a shelter! They have tons of bigger dogs there, the big dogs are generally the last picked because people do not have the room for them. You can usually find full blooded dogs at the shelter that will be so happy to have a new huge open field to run around in!! But almost everyone knows MUTTS make the BEST dogs!!!!!
Good Luck! Please at least go have a look at the shelter and who knows they might just fall in love!

I would go to the humane society and rescue a couple homeless dogs, or a few, with all that property. Imagine how that would make them feel, going from caged mutt to a free-running spirit, laughing and jumping and just feeling all good inside...

I personally recommend Labrador's I have my site at www.myspace.com/rhaillydog. I breed my labs for families who have kids due to their great natured personallities. Labs are extremely easy to train and love lots of space.
Check out my site, I have info on Labs, this is a great reference and am not selling so not a sells pitch.

Aussies and border collies are great dogs if you have a lot of room. They love to run and have tons of energy. They are also very smart dogs. I love them!

As long as its not a cold weather area, get a pit bull or boxer, they are a lot of fun and you can take them inside and cuddle with them when they are tired of running and playing.

Boxers love to "burn" around yards and are great companions also. They are comical to watch in full out runs when playing.
