Okay if you want to totally conquer your acne you have to conquer it not only externally, but internally. Meaning, you need to drink 6-10 cups of water a day, and dont eat any sugar!! And eat lots of fruits and veggies. Dont eat oily foods, like fried stuff, and fast food. Really if you basically cut out all the sugar from your diet it really helps. Because sugar feeds the bacteria in your zits! And getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals is good too, vitamin C and Vitamen E supplements is what i take besides my normal vitamins. Exercise is actually good for acne too, its hard to explain, but the sweat helps push out blackheads and it just will make you feel great!! And be sure to wash your face twice a day with a good cleanser, and exfliate twice or so a week.I even put homemade face masks on! And no stress!! people should be looking at your true self and not just your face. keep a smile on and dont give up!! i had acne and used these techniques and it really helped! But acne is a hormonal thing so dont worry, everybody has or will have it at some point in their life.

1. My boyfriend uses proactive and it works great for him. I have had one friend who didn't see many results, but I know two people that it works really well for, so this may be worth a try if you haven't already.
2. As the other person mentioned, birth control pills can help clear up female acne.
3. See a dermatologist. There are tons of medication on the market right now they can prescribe to you that are stronger than anything you will find over the counter.
4. See a esthecian. They are not a doctor like a dermatologist, but they go through extensive training to specialize in skin. I have friends who saw an esthecian weekly to get pus and grime extracted from their pores and their skin really cleared up. It wasn't that expensive, either.
Good Luck.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I had bad acne when I was like 14... I ended up resorting to Accutane. Accutane is a pill you take for a few months, 3 times a day... well... I took them all at the same time, in the morning. It can be dangerous in the long-run though... its said to sometimes cause kidney and liver problems later on in life. But it works... It sucks all the oil out of your body... so you get REALLY dry for the time you're on it but I, personally, think it was SOOO worth it. It changed my life. But, if you're female, you need to either be on the pill or take a pregnancy test every month cause it can be EXTREMELY harmful to a fetus.

I second the idea of getting on birth control. I too had terrible acne when I was a teenager in high school. When I turned 18 and got on the pill it was cleared up within 6months (that is a high estimate). Sometimes the problem is from inside!

Maybe visit a dermatologist? Some acne fades with time, but it always hurts when people make fun of you. I use cetaphil and try to cut back on "junk". With a healthy diet, I have noticed healthier skin.

Have your mom take you to the doctor and see if Yasmin will work for you. Mt step-daughter had horrible acne and this is the only thing that helped her. It also helped regulate her periods.
