Yes, they are both crimes, but if they are asking for things "other than traffic violations", you can probably get away with not mentioning them. I did on a job application, and I have 2 DUI's. They never asked. When they are looking for "criminal background" they are generally looking for things such as theft, domestic abuse, criminal damage to property type things.

Everytime you break the law,,it's a crime. It's a crime to not put money in the parking meter. It's a crime to J- Walk. And yes sir,,it is a crime to be charged and found guilty of DUI. You really need to put the truth down on your questions and explain the answers. Thats a lot better than them coming to you and asking why you didn't put it on the background check. I don't know about where your from, but here the Burg I live in, the Chief Of Police that we used to have, was in prison for 5 years. So there you are.

anything you have to pay a waiver or appear before a court or judge is considered a crime, whether it has to do with driving or not. on the other hand most companies don't care about your driving record as long as the job doesn't involve you driving for them. So put it down it will save you having to explain yourself for not putting it down.

Check and see if the question is asking if you have ever been CONVICTED of a crime.
