They seem to get along fine but the last two times when the african greys laid eggs they haven't hatched. I was wondering if maybe having the lovebirds nearby disturbed them? The lovebirds also have not reproduced. They have been in the same room, our family room, for about 8 or 9 months.

Yes, my lovebird and Congo Grey are caged in the same room in separate cages. I don't think they disturb each other and I think the Grey considers the lovebird a flock member though the lovebird could care less about the Grey. The Grey imitates the lovie and even talks to her in English. He will look right at her and say the same things I do which is very cute! I have not tried to breed either species (they are both pets) but the lovebird occasionally lays eggs although she is kept alone in her cage and there is no chance the eggs are fertile.

I don't allow the two to interact physically because it is too dangerous with the size difference. The lovebird will not hesitate to charge the Grey if he gets too close and I am afraid he'd bite her back in self defense and kill/maim her if she bit him. He is not vicious but if he were startled he might bite without realizing his own strength and accidentally harm her. Otherwise, I really don't think they bother each other and certainly not when they are just in their cages. However, I have no experience in trying to breed birds.

Why do you imagine that we are on diverse boats. No, all of us are crusing on an identical ocean interior an identical boat yet regrettably our ideas, moves, needs, acts, needs thoughts, and deeds are diverse. you recognize why?coz we are selfish and stay for self in reality, we gained't care of others, we adore ourselves in reality and in no way all. Its why the boat is an same yet we are diverse. thanks.
