I want to try to make my own sushi...the only thing I can't find is nori. Do any grocery chains in the south carry it? I'd order it online, but the shipping cost is twice as much as the product.

Your best bet is either a gourmet food store, a gourmet kitchen supply store or a Japanese Market. Try www.dexonline.com and search for those in your area. Home amde sushi is so much fun and your can try all kinds of cool stuff! I love making sushi at home!

If you're near a large town or city there should be an oriental store which carries it. Try looking in the yellow pages for one. Here in Austin, TX there are a number of such stores that carry Nori and most any other Asian product you want.

Try www.asianfoodgrocer.com. I've had a good experience with pricing with them. The items are cheaper than in the stores which might offset the shipping cost.
