Jesus said, "seek you first the kingdom of God." If you want to know about the kingdom you need to read the Word of God. You need to pray and seek God with all your heart, mind, body and soul. Lord, come into my life and save my soul. Jesus said, "You must be born-again." When the Holy Spirit comes in a miraculous change comes in your life. The old creature is gone and you are a new creation. Evolution has been one of the reasons people have strayed from God. If you are a baby Christian on this Internet website and you listen to some of these unbelievers they work hard at pleasing their father the devil and confusing baby Christians, your soul is in trouble.

You need to repent, ask God to forgive you for doubting and get back on the right course of following Jesus Christ. Read the Word of God, God's Holy Bible daily the NIV or KJV versions are fine. Apostle Paul was confronted daily and at one point he said, "Let God be true and every man a liar." You can hear so many lies that you don't know the truth. But the truth is God's Word and the truth will set you free. May the Lord Bless you.

Find a good Bible believing church. I prefer one that sticks to the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

People stop believing in God because their definition stops being useful to them.

For example, you might believe in a "Six Days to Create the Earth" God, and put a lot of emotional weight on the simplicity of the world and the power of God. But when you learn more about the biology and geology of the world, or the complexity of the universe, then that God doesn't really have anything to offer you.

But that does not mean that there is no definition of God that will eventually touch, help or guide you.

I don't know why you stopped believing in God. I do know though, why that leaves you insecure and not knowing where you're at.
You have probably been raised thinking believing in God was normal, and now that you don't believe anymore, your whole life is different. As you grow older that feeling may come at you more often: life is often not what we expect it to be - and it's an unsettling feeling.

> why do people stop believing in God?
It's because belief in God is a matter of faith. He's not readily apparent. Fath is required.

I've had people tell me that they've gone through personal tragedies, and that God couldn't possibly be real. Otherwise He wouldn't have let them suffer so. From that point on, they've never believed again.

We perceive God by what all the false religions say instead of
seeking God in our heart where God lives.

Because there is no God.

You'll be fine. You're the same person you were, you just don't believe in God. That's all.

It's one of the reasons more people willingly cling to their religions (at least nominally so). If you actually face reality, you've got to alter your entire world-view, and accept that you, and only you, are responsible for your life.
It's a damned difficult thing to do, and many never take that step because of that.
