Splenda is fine to drink while you are pregnant.. it is from natural sugar unlike aspartame is chemically sweet. Crystal light is ok.. but have you tried the sugar free kool aid in water.. it says one pack to 8oz of water, but I have used one pack on a 20 oz water so it is not too strong and it still tastes good. There is so much preservatives in everything these days and hearing someone freak out about diet drinks makes me wonder how consistent are they with fruit and vegetables and lunchmeat and even bread. Honestly you would have to grow your own gardens and milk your own cows to make sure you are not getting some types of chemicals in any food you eat these days. It just can't be done all the time. I am sorry I am 32wks along and really grumpy with some of these comments I am seeing.

There is NO WAY I would drink ANYTHING that had artificial sweeteners, such as nutrasweeet, aspartame, splenda, or saccharine while I am pregnant. I would not give it to a young child, either.

There is no way to know if Crystal Light and other diet drinks are safe for your unborn baby. Their cells and brains are still developing and might be affected. I just drink regular water.

No it has aspartame in it which is no good...I would stay away from it altogether and definitely not give it to children...
pulled this from an article on it....hope it helps..

The dangers of aspartame poisoning have been a well guarded secret since the 1980s. The research and history of aspartame is conclusive as a cause of illness and toxic reactions in the human body. Aspartame is a dangerous chemical food additive, and its use during pregnancy and by children is one of the greatest modern tragedies of all.
