The wikipedia definition mentioned above is a Eurocentric definition of naturism. Here, it doesn't require social nudity and can be quite solitary. It is nude and natural, in nature. It can have social aspects, but differs from nudism, which is just about being without clothing. Naturism can be a part of a religious or spiritual practice, even fundamental, or necessary to it. It can be highly spiritual and as satisfactory as any religion. For some it is like religion's importance. It is practice, not belief. The Naturist Society (TNS) differs from American Nude Recreation (ANRR). If one is sitting by a pool drinking beer and joking naked, that is nudism. If one is in touch with the air, oneness, walking in the woods, that is more naturism. There is also a gray area, nothing strictly defined.
