Enough people believe Al Gore to get him an academy award. Most people will believe anything and everything....except the truth.

first I don't believe that they are the bones of jesus but I haven't seen the doco yet but will watch it. I like to see both sides of the story. As for the monkey part well I have looked at both sides, evolution sounds more believable than a book written thousands of years ago by peasant farmers that also has a bunch of fairy tales and condradictions

I agree. If you research the topic more...you'll find that leading researchers and archaeologists find that the claim that this is the tomb and bones of Jesus is a complete fabrication built on the intent of generating income...namely for the Discovery Channel, who will air a program based on the "finding of Jesus' Tomb". If the program is as biased as most of Discoveries shows, I'm sure they will claim that Christianity is based on a lie. (despite over 500 people, still alive when it was written and able to contradict the book of Mark, says that Jesus rose from the grave). the part people overlook is that both Jews and Romans were around and able to du-bunk the early gospels, but, for obvious reasons...THEY WERE TRUE...the elected not to.

The hurricane victims didn't have their names engraved where they were found, much less had any id on them. The tomb is pretty well identified by an inscription as being Jesus' tomb.
The ancient manuscripts of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, indicate that they were written by them, should we doubt them too?

Don...nothing about the recent discovery of a possible tomb that belonged to the family of Jesus has been verified, tested or proven in any way. Its simply a possibility that exists. People who claim otherwise are sorely misled.

maybe the fact that if said "Jesus son of Joseph" on the urn was the first clue...
The thing I love about this, is all the people that like to claim the dead sea scrolls are real and confirm biblical dogma etc, but now when something that does the opposite is found everyone wants to claim that it can't possibly be real etc lol

Careful now..you might offend the monkeys.
Yea the whole identifying christ doesn;t make sense to me either. But the evolution of man from monkeys, with a culmination of diverse evidence examined to date, doesnt seem improbable either.

Daniel-sa... he's got some of the truth in his humour there you know.
This stunt from discovery channel and it's producer is a money maker; and I believe that this is what motivates people to go after religions. Mostly Christianity but still.....they are in it for the money.

The Church in olden times sold fake bones for money. Bones mean nothing, read the words that were left for us.
