Call your Doctor and get a prescription for generic Intex. It does wonders for the headache and sore throat. Also spray your nose several times a day with a saline solution. There are generics for Ocean Mist too. Lastly, put Tiger Balm on you sinus facial areas (meaning nose and cheek bones, forehead)use the white or mild version only or you might blow your eyeballs out...........
Good Luck I know it's painful.

If you already have it, you'll need antibiotics to get rid of it but if you want to avoid it, you should eat lots of colorful veggies which contain vitamin C. Also, vitamin A keeps mucous membranes healthy.
Avoid dairy products and sugar and definitely quit smoking if you are a smoker.

No eggs, milk, any other dairy. Try to rinse all pastas, potatoes, rice, and other starches, they have glutin, and I don't care what the journals say, if it can stick to the lining of your bloodstream, then maybe it could stuff you up.
Good luck.
I know how it is, because it took 4 straight days of antibiotics and IV before my two-year bout cleared up (unrelated medical need for IV, etc.)
