From my opbservations, Islam is a "religion" of violence and hatred. That's not a slur or an epithet. It's a fact. What other group do you know that calls itself a religion and yet tells its followers to KILL "infidels"? To hell with them.

I should have known that you were only trying to mock Islam. Now, I know it's hard for you absorb correct information so I'll be patient.
Let's start with this factor. There are a billion Muslims in this world. Can your brain comprehend the fact that only a small number of people (Please note that I don't call them Muslims) kill in the name of Allah? Can your brain function to the point that Islam is a peaceful religion, but it's being twisted by a bunch of fools? Can your brain use it's ability to reason that not all Muslims kill? Actually the jews fled the crusades to live with the muslims, who at least didn't murder them at the time. Then white people invented the automobile, and God thought it would be funny to hide all the oil with the arabs. Oh yeah, and then Hitler killed a bunch of Jews, so the UN gave them land in the middle-east... which was ironic, since no palestinians were part of the axis... you'd think it'd be more fair if the Jews got Germany, Austria, Italy or Japan... right? but no... the White people who lived there couldn't stand the thought of living too close to a jew, so we sent them all to the desert.
If India and Pakistan had a war and a bunch of Sunnis were exterminated, wouldn't you be pissed too if the UN stepped in and gave the Sunnis New York?

Wikipedia is in no way an authoritative reference in general, and in religion in particular. Users just like you and me have account and login to edit topics however knowledge level they have.
I wouldn't read much into something that has no foundation to start with.
Muslims who convert to other religions are not executed. It is considered a major sin in islam but only zealous extremists or uneducated practicing people will deduce the person needs to be executed. That represents a small fraction of the whole muslim community.
Sharia, which is islamic jurisprudence deriving from the teaching of Sahabas and Khalifas including the Coran, does not instruct anyone to kill anyone else, be it non-muslim or muslim for that matter. There is a sourate (verse) that goes like " Lakom Dinokom Wa Liya Dini" meaning you have your belief and the muslim has his, its ramification means the muslim invites the non muslim to believe and convert but after trying to convince him, you must leave him alone. The muslim will then pray God to help the non muslim, pray God to allow him to find the right path.
In NO CASE is a muslim allowed to take anyone's life, unless if he is a soldier in the enemy army and therefore you have to fight him.
Al shirkobillah, Shirk (pronounced Sheerk) for short, means : turning your back on God sying there is no God, or claiming there are more than One God. Shirk is THE MAJOR SIN in Islam. Having said that Sharia punishes by prison depending on the law in that country A MUSLIM who claims that in public. Read it again : A MUSLIM !! not a non muslim. Some countries will emprison foreigners who offend and make such claims on muslim territories.
Apostasy is turning your back on Islam as a religion, and either converting to another one or simply not believing in its teachings. You can still believe in God (in monoteist religions) but it is not Shirk.
The only other time a muslim is allowed to take another one's life is during war, which I stated above.
Only God can punish a muslim who converts to another religion and non muslims the day of the ressurection (Yawm El Kiyama)
Unfortunately, fanatism and extremism blinds some eyes, and ends up in misintrepretations and disobediance of the Coranic law.

If you are in a war, and a member of your army joins the opposite side, it is your duty to execute them. If you would learn about Islam open-mindedly before criticizing it you would come to the realization that it truly is a peaceful religion.

It didnt say so in wikipedia, it said what people believe should happen (unless i misinterperated the text.) but thats so untrue!

I dont know much about muslims but i think they have to pray to the east 5 times a day maybe it has somthing to do with that
