Do you know how much time a child spends in school yearly? It's for a project I'm doing.

For grade sachool, including high school, six months is generally what it is. Depending on the system, it varies a little.

It differs by state, but I think the minumum in California is 180 days... though I think we might actually have 186 at our school.
They also have to have a certain amount of instructional minutes, but I'm not sure what the minimums are, but I'm sure your principal would know.

That would depend a lot on where they are at, some go all year round with several break in between and some only go say from sept-june.
