I have been meaning to ask this since the 21st. carnival is over and I feel sad. Not only because it's over, not only because it was short and not only because I didn't get a wine from any girl (that's another topic). I am sad because of the way things went down, and about some of the things that happened or didn't happen. Where do I begin?
They done made all these changes which I am not too happy about. I miss the big stage, the north stand and the grand stand. Why did they move it? I can't remember. They shortened the calypso monarch to one song per person. I liked the excitement of having two rounds, and the big stage. The venue was too small, and you couldn't really hear the crowd's reaction. They also moved panorama to the south.
I read that a female entertainer had things thrown at her at a fete, and that the brass festival was marred (again) by violence. Why do people come to shows to make mischief and rob and kill, and how did they get pass law enforcement?

also, i don't think that all of the people that were supposed to appear even showed. i did not read about that. i read negative reports, and that is not the kind of news i want to read about a show. and the crowd, 6000? only? because of other shows on the same night. bad planning.
