Clearly, UFC fans are racist. I'm sure they're the kind of chess players that only want to be the white pieces, and refuse to play as black.

Realistically, "racism" is in pretty much everybody, and the foundation of America was put in place by whites, and for whites. Obviously the structure of America has changed dramatically since the beginning, but racism is still intact; it is something natural, and its basically just conflict and dissagreements between different tribes.

I don't think racism is incorporated into the business aspect of the UFC very much, white men just happen to be on top at this point. As MMA continues to grow, I would imagine that more black men get involved(like boxing), and there will be more black champions. If it makes you feel better to have a black man as a champion, representing the UFC, then outstanding. I could honeslty care less. I would root for Rampage Jackson quicker than I would root for Tito Ortiz as light-heavy champion. But personally, I think Chuck Liddel is going to ICE Rampage Jackson to continue his undefeated steak as champion. And THAT, in my oppinion, has nothing to do with race, its only because Chuck is a bad muther ****er.

This is just a ridiculous question/statement. Not everything is racism, it is a small coincidence and there are a number of fighters that are not white that are going to be champions very soon. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, a black fighter, has a great chance of becoming a champion very soon. Tito Ortiz a former champion is not white, he is of mexican decent. Diego Sanchez is another hispanic fighter that is rising through the ranks. There are a number of asian fights that are extremely talented as well. MMA is an extremely diverse sport, fighters come from all over the world and from all different race.

It has more to do with the fact that boxing has become a 3 ring side show and made a mockery of itself. It probably has something to do with the fact that MMA is way more exciting to watching then a boxing match. This is not an issue of race at all and it is sad that someone would even consider that, not everything is a race issue and it destroys it when there actually is a race issue.

Ridiculous and wrong. There has ben and are currently champions from many skin colors.

Right now, the middleweight champion is black (Anderson Silva).

And the UFC is popular with all races, not just whites. Look at the demographic info on the viewers. It's more popular because it is closer to real fighting.

As for boxing, you realize that ALL of the heavyweight champions currently are white, don't you? Even in the other weight classes, there's as many champions who are Hispanic, white and Asian as there are black.

I suggest you get your facts straight.

What a stupid *** question. Have people nothing better to do than Analise every little thing for possible racism. You obviously don't watch UFC. The Middleweight Champion is not white. But maybe the fact that boxing has all black champions (as you say it does) implies some sort of racism against white boxers? Does this sound as stupid a question as yours does? You bet your sad *** it does.

NO, NO, NO! UFC doesn't have all white champions. Anderson Silva the middleweight champion is Brazilian & secondly boxing has a mixture of champions from different ethnic backgrounds in almost all their weight classes. And if you're referring to white being American than that means Georges St. Pierre is out cause he's Canadian!

want to ask that question again after you find out that non-champion boxers make more money than champions in the UFC?

Boxing is still where the money is, until that is not the case any more, the ufc is not more popular (it eventually will be, but not today) and has nothing to do with anything.

I just checked the list of current boxing champions, and well pretty much you are wrong. Most of the current champs are non black. But all races have tough mofo's and if you don't believe it, its becuase you have'nt ****** with the wrong person yet. I think I understand what you are saying, but you are generalizing and it's not what intelligent people do. To answer your question, young black and mexican fighters are growing up boxing, the whites and the asians are doing the martial arts now a days. As timne goes, more blacks and mexicans will cross over to. You should check the list on yahoo's boxing section on current champs, to educate yourself.

Anderson Silva is white????? Boxing has all black champs?? I think you need to rethink that! Why does it have to be about race? Is boxing racism because you THINK all its champs are black? This makes no sense? I know what your getting at and you are so off base! FYI! UFC is more popular then boxing because boxing is fixed!

playing the race card already?
so what if more non-blacks are into MMA than they are of boxing. who cares? well you perhaps.

maybe its because MMA is a thinking game, not a muscle one. skill over power. who knows, and who cares. do you watch boxing because you support black people? then you are guilty of segregation and help the dis-empowerment of blacks by allowing a divide to be noticed.

i had never thought of it being racist, just liked, by those who like it.

you on crack? see, stereotyping sucks. youll find more coloured people are racist than whites. but we all enable the cycle of racism to happen. both by whites believing they are better, and by blacks acting like they arent. look inside yourself for the reasons racism are around. questions like this make people defensive, on both sides. when there was never an issue to start with.

dont start crying before you have reason to.
