Well... what is it for, exactly? Moms usually like photos/frames, flowers, cards, jewelry and the like. Does she have any hobbies, collections, favorite foods? Maybe you should try something like www.findgift.com.

I kinda depends on what kind of a person she is. I know that a mom will like anything that you give her, because you put your heart into it. But, seriously, give her something that you know she will get some use out of. Not a small appliance or anything related to house work, but if she has a hobby, or if she works out of the home, you can get her something that pertains to that. The 'special' part comes in how creative you are when thinking of the actual gift. For example, if her hobby is needle point, you could get her supplies or notions and give them to her in a container that she could organize and keep her needle work in. If she doesn't have a hobby and this advice doesn't apply, I always wander around the mall and snoop in the stores, until the right thing grabs my attention. If you know your mom, it shouldn't be too hard to find the right gift. Good Luck! I hope I have helped.

I would try to think of something that speaks to her interests. My mom was in the Coast Guard during World War II. I did an Ebay search for Coast Guard, and found a blanket for the back of a couch with the Coast Guard insignia on it. She really liked it. I also had one of my parents' wedding pictures enlarged and framed once. That was a hit. Good luck.

get her a gift card to her favorite restaurant, store, department store... And if you want to make it special make her something from your heart those are always the best gifts... Ones that cant replaced or bought anywhere are the ones made from your heart....
