Bush lying about WMD...plus...The United Nations charter has a provision which was agreed to by the United States formulated by the United States in fact, after World War II. It says that from now on, no nation can use armed force without the permission of the U.N. Security Council. They can use force in connection with self-defense, but a country can't use force in anticipation of self-defense. Regarding Iraq, the last Security Council resolution essentially said, 'Look, send the weapons inspectors out to Iraq, have them come back and tell us what they've found -- then we'll figure out what we're going to do. The U.S. was impatient, and decided to invade Iraq -- which was all pre-arranged of course. So, the United States went to war, in violation of the charter.

Yes it is illegal and it was started based on false imformation. The fact is we have people who like power and money. as result we have sitiuations like Iraq that occur. Iraq is a rich country with oil and some people would like to control this country as result. The fact is that this war was started illigally and against the United Nations charter, yet it has not been dealt with as it should. It was not that the U.S. was inpatient, this was seen as a opportunity to take power and go after Iraq's oil for personal gain. As result thousands and millions of lives are lost every day for personal gain. Until we as America begin to address the problems of our leaders, then this type of thing could occur again. We close our eyes and are not willing to take responsibility for our actions, we also turn a deaf ear on what we allow our leaders to do in the name of America. This chose for war was not by America as a whole, but the select few we vote for to lead us. After we vote we walk away and do not look or want to really admit what our leaders do or are capable of. Don't get me wrong we have a few leaders I am sure that are capable of looking out for the interest of the voter, but as of now I believe that this type of leader is the minority. If you look around America you will see that our leaders are continuing force more and more laws on the voters, yet we fought against communist in Russia. Everyday we look more and more like a country that we use to detest, a country where you were told what to do by the government.

What the **** is wrong with you the UN is the world's most terrible idea. It was set up to prevent a nuclear war with the USSR and the US and to try to keep peace in Germany after the war ended. Now that the Eastern Block (USSR) is gone the UN has no purpose. Why should we let other countries tell us what to do it just doesn't make sense. In addition to this Iraq had declared war on the US 7 times during the 90s and kicked out the UN weapon inspectors in 94. What were suppose to do. Every time we sent the inspectors over the Iraqis would not allow them into key parts of their nation. And just to give you a hint as to how oblivious the UN is. Iraq was building the world's largest super cannon and the UN inspectors did not catch on until Germany and England told them that all the places on the western boarder of Iraq where the UN couldn't go were dedicated to building a series of super cannons capable of hitting Israel. And no the war wasn't illegal because congress signed the bill to allow Bush to go to war. Not to mention we basically had been telling Iraq that we were going to invade since October 2002. That's six months for Saddam to prepare.

Oh by the way war doesn't have rules, laws or guide lines. You're probably the type who would tell the troops to not fire unless fired upon, which has claimed the lives of countless US troops.

I am going to break it to you, the UN is a joke, you know why they are upset? They use American Soldiers to do all their work, and with the US in war, that means no soldiers to putter around and "do good". The UN backed the war at the beginning, and all of the other countries, Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, Iceland, all the countries that helped us would be against the charter to, what about the Iraqis? they are part of the UN. Congress agreed with Bush, so it doesn't matter if he lied, which it wasn't just him.

Because he had Congress's approval way back then, he will continue to have it, even if they don't like it until they stand up and do something about it. Ehh... US really didn't formulate that part of the charter, there was a lot more countries involved then that, I mean look at the top five countries, Britain, Russia, US, China, and France. They have all picked fights, maybe not publicly but all of them have been getting ready or actually engaging in war since World War II, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, Somalia, Rwanda, There are so many little wars that no one hears about.

Impatient? We gave Saddam from 1991 to 2003 to allow unrestricted access to all of his facilities!!!
There have been 80 - 100 wars with one country attacking another since 1945. None of which had the blessing, support of the UN and violated the United Nations Charter. So when do we prosecute these leaders and their countries?

Ching gow that is old news... First off it wasnt totally about WMD's,, We should have went in the 90's and finished our business,,while Sadaam was stick his thumb up his nose at the UN and America,, clinton did have the nuts to make the call and kept asking for NATO support... george Bush on the other hand said ..This sadaam is unsafe and should be removed... And he did what he said he was going to do.. Now the real question is Well they didnt find thousands weapons of mass destruction,, they did find a few and plus they found a few old MIGs buried in the sand.. Sadaam had years (thanks to UN and clinton) to hide stuff... Even if there wasnt any...its better to go in and make sure... because if he had them and we choose not to go in He could have choose to use them on Kuwait or his own people ,,or go old school and use them on Iran... So its best for american interest that we went in there find out he had none.. because things would have been alot worse if he did... So is the war illegal no...and your remark on Impatient Isnt waiting since 1991 to 2002 long enough just to settle letting us have full access to his nuclear program? I mean he kept kicking inspectors violating a peace agreement... remember this guy sadaam had noooo problem taking all iraq's money and transferring it to his wife in Qatar where she still is today.. Sadaam deserved what he got
You need to see the big picture not the short term

Right now Our war is with al qaeda in Iraq.. They need to be stopped ,,They are playing the media to their advantage which is why you are asking this question. because Al quaeda loves when the American public is split on the war... They use it to there advantage because my man george Bush is doing a good job killing their buddies,, which is one good reason why they want division and want us out... The more al qaeda hates us,,just means the better job we are doing remember that

1. Bush repeated the same things Bill, Hillary, and the rest of the democrats said when they were in office, so they lied too.

2. The U.S. is a sovereign nation that DOESN'T need anyone's permission to defend itself, or go to war. The President can send troops, and Congress and declare war officially without the U.N.s permission.

3. Perhaps if Saddam had let weapons inspectors do their job from 1990-2002 (12 years) there wouldn't be any suspicion about WMDs. Besides, that was the agreement to end the 1st Gulf War, to abide by the rules of ending that war. Saddam didn't, the war started back up again.

Think for yourself, not what other people keep repeating over and over again.

Nope, the war was not illegal.

Either under US or International Law

The UN has declared only two invasions as illegal in its history.

The North Korean Invasion of South Korea.
The Iraq invasion of Kuwait.

But, hey, if you want to say the Iraq war was illegal, then you also have to say that the :

Clinton/Gore attack/invasions in:

Iraq
Afghanistan
Serbia
Haiti
Sudan
Kosavo

All done without either Congressional or UN approval.

Were illegal to.

And exactly what Bush lie about WMD ?

Do you have some proof that no one else has seen showing that every Intelligence Agency in America and the Western World DID NOT think Iraq had WMD prior to March 2003 ?

The UN and the American Congress agreed there were WMD in Iraq, not just Bush. And Congress never declared war, so how is that a violation? And about the Weapon Inspectors, Saddam had gained a large amount of petrolium (thats a fact) and after he received it; he stopped letting UN and American Weapon Inspectors into Iraq. So crazy Muslim w/ abunch of petrolium trying to hide what hes doing, what would you think?

I think we were justified in going there and getting rid of Saddam and to show we were were not going to be pushed around by these small countries and get some payback for 911 but it's time we got out and get on with more issues concerning this country. I feel we can leave with honor to our service men and women that we did some major a## kicking and stopped lots of future things that may plague our nation. I believe we need strike forces that can be sent any where any time at a moments notice, strike and be gone leaving our enemy's saying ''who was that masked man'' lol

If you had family and friends killed in 9-11 would you think its illegal? The fear and hurt that Terrorists have caused, not to mention all of the security spending, and you worry if its illegal?
Maybe they should wait longer so they can develop more plans for Terror and gain more weapons? Get real! You better hope they erase Iraq and Iran from the Map!! Better yet, you go there legally and any followers, see if they'll talk to you, legally.PS: Just buy a one way ticket, you won't be on the return!
