You don't really say what you mean by a "contemporary" mass. Even St. Patrick's has informal masses available. I'd suggest you search the archdiocese website ( http://archny.org/parish-search/index.cfm ) and look for churches that have their own websites. Check out the church sites, and hopefully you can find the kind of mass you're looking for.
