there's no harm in contacting him as a friend to find out how he's doing. tell him you've been thinking about him lately and you were just wondering how he was doing. you'll be able to gauge from his response whether he wants to remain in contact from your initial conversation and you can take it from there. just be prepared for the fact that he may not be single or want to know you as a friend. on the up side though, you may find he's been thinking about you

Not weird but probably a waste of time, if he ended it six months ago he has more than likely moved on to someone else, if you really want to contact him just ask him how he is and how his life is going but be prepared for the worst. Good luck x

You could send a just thinking of you message, but I wouldn't. Your romance ended for a reason. Let the past be the past and move forward.

Depending on the reasons why it was ended I think it may be ok. I mean if he was not into you then I probably wouldn't but if it was some lame reason then go for it. Nah, either way go for it. What's the worst that can happen...he's doesn't want to hook up? Good Luck!

THIS IS YOUR BEST ANSWER: id say not to... only because he left you for a reason. maybe personal reasons or just to leave. but what im saying is, its been 6months and if you contact him now, then he might take it as you being desperate and lost without him. just a lil thing to consider, lighting an old flame or atleast messing with it with hurt even more. meaning if you call or email and he doesnt reply then youll be even more hurt and itll be harder for you to get over...

On the one hand, you have nothing to lose. All he can say is "go away."
On the other hand, he already said it. So what's the point? There's really nothing to be gained, either.
You were amazed. He was just passing through. Let it be a lesson to you, and move on.

Contact him if you think you can handle hearing he is with someone else, or prepare for him to ignore you. If you think it will be too painful or make you a bit loopy, then don't do it.
