Moral truths are not ours to indiscriminately change on a whim. They are instituted by God, and SOME of them still manage to be upheld by our justice system, although more and more, they are throwing the principles of God out the window.
You CAN, however, by free will, decide to BREAK a moral code....

Morals and free will are not synonomous with one another. Morals are a individual choice that determines what you see as right or wrong- good or evil. Your morals are determined generally by nurture and how you were raised. If you were raised thinking that red kool-aid will kill you, you will develop a moral saying that you shouldn't drink it because it's bad. Free will gives you the choice to do something, whether your own morals dictate if you should do it or not and whether you will feel guilty for doing something your morals indicate is wrong. Your free will determines what your morals are, so yes, your free will can change your morals from wrong to right. It is society or your legal system that has the ultimate say in whether what you have changed is legal or not though....

Morals are pretty much set in stone. If you have problems with certain things you most likely always will. Rape is probably the only crime that bothers me. That's something I'll always feel. I'd have to say no, you can't change your morals except maybe a bit of tweaking. That's why change is so hard for people. Things they are not used to feel wrong.
To all the churchies, morals have nothing to do with gods and laws aren't there to uphold what any god said. Separation of church and state anyone? Get over yourselves. Always have to think you're right about everything because "God" said so.

Morality, whether we think of it as coming from god or from the depths of our own souls, is quite constant among people. No, we can't change it, we can only try to listen hard enough to capture its nuances - cause that's how you control how happy you are in life. How well you conform to the rules of morality. It's not at all a religious thing - it's as practical as knowing how to have sex!

of course not. Free will only gives you the freedom to choose if you follow the "right course" or ignore society and sometimes the law, and "do your own thing" regardless what society thinks is the correct way of behaving. But with free will should come a large degree of responsibility, and acceptance of the consequences of your actions.

You do indeed have free will, however you are still responsible for your actions by any law which you choose to believe in or not believe in.
Laws are here for a reason, so that people will not break them. If you do then you know what the consequences are.
This causes each to think ahead of time as to weather or not to do the action which they wish to take.
Its still free will, but with risk.!!!!

empathy usually...
but not everyone feels that. if everyone felt murder was wrong then we wouldnt have people murdering would we. so obviously some people dont deem it very wrong.
contrary to what the others said, morals are not here from some god being.
even the bible shows that we had morals before god told us what is right and wrong.

No, you cant. Free will means you can choose to follow morals or not, it does not give you a right to change anything God said. It just says that we have free will to choose God. (if you choose God, morals will come on their own.....not that people who are not christian dont have morals of course. )

It depends on your moral system. I frequently review mine for consistency and to make sure that it makes sense. Regardless of your morals, murder is still illegal.
