Ok, I don't have medical, and i can't afford to go to the doctor. I only make 6.40/hr. So its not like i'm sitting on top of a lot of money. Does anyone know a home cure for pink eye?

That's funny kitty since I generally don't wear makeup. My daughter started off with, she has medical, I don't.

THis is nothing to fool around with. It's highly contagious, and can be chronic if not treated. (That means it doesn't go away.) And it can affect your vision. So go to the doctor. Ask them to make payment arrangements for you. It's important.

Make a saline solution (1 tablespoon to 1 quart), BOIL IT, let it cool and put some compresses on your eye, about 3-4 x's a day. (Also store it in a sterilized container) Or you can go to the store and buy eyewash (not saline for contact lenses).
I would suggest that you go to the doctor or at least ask your pharmacist for a suggestion. If it really is pink eye (conjunctivitis) then you will need antibiotic drops for it to clear up. Be very careful..it can spread to the other eye and to others.

Beilive it or not I am in the same situation as you and a few months ago used honey and it cleared up in less than 2 days. Here is thlist that I got my recipe from

Ingredients: 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions: I mix the honey into the water which is warm. After the honey is dissolved put a couple of drops into the infected eye. Honey is a natural antibiotic and has significant healing properties. I usually do this remedy three times in one day and that does the trick.

Ingredients: Red potatoes
Instructions: Grate one red potato rap it in gauze and apply to your eye. goes away in one to two days

Ingredients: two warm regular tea bag's
Instructions: place warm tea bag over infected eye till bag cool's off. Then replace with the other warm tea bag. The warm tea draws the infection out and clears it up sooner then over the counter meds.

Ingredients: Sea salt (only in desperate times - regular salt) Warm water
Instructions: Soak a small amount of sea salt in warm water. A few drops in affected eye every 2-3 hours and by day two you should be cured

Good Luck

No, you really need an anti biotic and pink eye is VERY contagious. Try and go to a type of women clinic that goes by your income. Good luck! I have had pink eye and it's not fun!

You have to see a doctor. Go to a free clinic or something. You actually need an antibiotic eyedrop for it.

Note: pinkeye can become serious to the point of eyesight loss if it's not taken care of.

You need to see the doc to be sure this is what the infection is. Spend some money and see the doc to get it properly diagnosed and treated.
