One key word to always remember when doing anything online, especially dating. Use "caution" with everything. Do NOT reveal anything that is too personal which could come back against you (Soc Sec....home address....your last name.....phone number....). As they have shown on many news stations, there are too many weirdos out there. I am not saying there aren't nice people either, by any means. But you should always use caution.
Being a wedding photographer, I have photographed many couples who met online. It works...just know you have to be patient. Be confident. Be possitive. But always be yourself!! There are free sites as well as paid sites. It's all depending how much effort you wish to put in. Paid sites like eHarmony.com is getting some good publicity and reviews. Free sites just means more opportunities for sexually explicit spams which could attack your computer.
Just NEVER meet until you feel safe and know for sure of who you are meeting up with. Meet in a public setting. Never feel rushed into anything. Follow your heart and your instinct if you are ever in doubt. Just keep your common sense open and have fun. =) Good luck.

I actually asked a question on this site. Someone answered very well so I chose them as best answer...we ended up emailing each other and they moved 1800 miles to be with me...we plan to get married in August and then move back out west. I met my soul mate & one true love on this site...the person who makes me whole that I have been waiting my whole life to meet.
But you have to be very careful on here. Tons of people play games, stalk and do all kinds of crazy stuff. Do not give out a lot of personal information.
People can be anyone they want to be on here...totally different from who they are in real life...so be extremely careful!!!

My personal good luck thing is, I've always had to come to me on my terms. Such as going to Starbucks only a mile from me so in case something goes wrong, you can go straight home. If he's not willing to meet you on your terms, don't bother.

i met a few guys for friends, bu I met this CRAZY guy thank goodness I didnt go on a date with him . Its a long story but if you do go meet someone just make sure its in a public place & Id bring backup & make them sit at another table & just pretend you dont know them hahaha .

Yes I have.My b/f and I have been together for a year now.Just look out for anything weird that is written on their profiles.Also be very cautious and don't let your guard down.

i met my bf online he messaged me on myspace we talked and chated a bit online threw msn..
we agreed to meet and have been pretty well inseperable since..
its been about two years we live together, have some pets together.. hang out all the time :)
