...need to be "dumbed down" & soaked in syrup to make it palatable to the masses?

Just how "dumb" does one need to go? Room-temperature IQ? Shoe-sized?

Can folks manage to understand big, scary words like "housebreak" instead "use the bathroom outside"(you *HAVE* one outside???WOW)?

Can they comprehend the fact that 99.how-many-more-9s % of their animal's behavior problems are THEIR OWN FAULT-***NOT*** breed, sex or COLOR related?
That ALL dogs are the same SPECIES,therefore ALL have the same training, feeding, maintenance & GESTATION (is that too scary a word?)? Your mutt is like every other mutt OR purebred animal in EVERY BASIC PRINCIPAL?

That if their dog is TOO FAT,*they* are FEEDING IT *TOO MUCH*?

Could we *TRY* to be adults here? Use "grown-up" words like PUP instead of "wittle baby doggie-woggie"? Penis & vulva instead of "thingie"? Dock & crop instead of "trim" or "snip"?

And PLEASE=>>>NO MORE "What should I name it?">>>
WHO CARES?

lol, I totally agree with you. Especially about the training part, people blame Pit Bulls for attacking people for 'no reason' but really it's just poor training. If you don't have the time to train your dog or can't afford obedience classes then DON'T GET A DOG! It's that simple!

I know it is frustrating for so many people to own dogs that have so little understanding of them, or who have studied about them almost none before getting them or breeding them but I guess if we have to dumb it down on occasion to help a dog maybe that is some consolation?

I think alot has to do with the age of the inquirer. Especially in certain categories, it is obvious that the person behind the question is under the age of 12. This would explain the nature of the questions in many cases, as well as the grammar and spelling.

HALLELUJAH!!!!! PREACH ON BROTHER!!!! I'll bet you hate to see "how can I convince my parents to let me get a puppy?" or "urgent!! help! please!! why do dogs chase their tails?" or "should I be concered? my dog ate a tray of rat poison". I think too many parents are using the computer as a babysitter, and too many psyche centers are allowing to much recreation time! And these "trolls"! where I'm from we don't call them trolls. We call them trailer trash welfare collecting half wits. (kimmi)

I got deleted once for asking one person how they got their dog to use a toilet. I have been training for years and haven't seen one do it yet. Plus wouldn't use it myself if one did. You know people cant control their own weight issues, still waiting for that MIRACLE PILL. Don't you think they are using that same glandular excuse for their dogs too?

Having a bad day? Sorry you don't like the terms some of us
use, but not everyone feels the need to use the exact words
to suit people like you.

Here's one for you, my dogs name is Pooky Poo. Some of us
love our pets alot, mine are like my kids and some people who
have dogs do because they can't have kids. Even parents talk
to their kids like we do to our dogs. Maybe your just not an
animal lover.
