It would raise some suspicion, but the quality of her character should be the ultimate judge. If you're capable of giving an unbiased opinion, get to know her better before you decide.
I can see a 16 year old and a 19 year old having a very fulfilling relationship. Your son's wellbeing should take priority here, of course.
There's shades of grey here, there is no thin line and numbers when it comes to love. Gather as many facts as you can, and trust your gut.

NO. Because that same parent WOULD NEVER allow a 16 yr old girl to date a 19 yr old boy!
Even though it is illegal, it is only 3 years and that is not that bad of an age gap. I say yes if he wants to, just tell him not to get her knocked up
but
I would personally say NO ..Boys are known to be more imature than girls...Why would a 19 year old girl want to be involved with a 16 year old boy

omg all those other answers are so stereotypical -_- Some 16 year olds are mature, some are immature. Some 19 year olds have the mentality of a 16-year-old, and some have a mentality higher than their own age. The individuals know weather they are suited too each other or not, and if they beleive they are then it's there choice. The parent has every right to be concerned, but the better option would be to get to know the girl and then decide, rather than just forbid them to date based on age...

Now that's a switch, a 16-yr old BOY and a 19-yr old girl. Usually, it's college boys who want the high school girls. I sure don't understand why, but whatever.
Nope, the parent shouldn't allow it. Aside from it being illegal in most states, the girl would probably be taking the boy to college things and stuff a 16-yr old probably shouldn't get into. At least get in college first.

No, there is a big difference between 16 and 19, emotionally and in maturity.
She is too old for him, I wouldn't let my 16 year old son date a 19 year old any more then I'd let my 16 year old daughter date a 19 year old.

Probably not a good idea. What kind of 19 year old girl would want a 16 year old boy? The trashy kind.

well being 19..I cant even stand to be around 16 year old boys. They are normaly immature and goofy acting. Something is up with this chick if she is wanting a 16 yr old. He must be well "known" sexually or well packing is all i can guess?

Why is a 19 year old talking to a 16 year old anyway? Why doesn't she look for someone her age or older.
