Can I just get rid of the bed to apply the tax deduction?

Yes. Having a bed in the room would fail the "exclusivity" provision in the home office rules.

However, there is no rule that a home office must be an entire room. You could messure the portion of the room that the desk is in and take that. It would be a small percentage but small is better than none.

Yes, that's a big problem. To claim a home office deduction, the area must be used EXCLUSIVELY for business purposes. Even occasional use for ANY personal reason disqualifies the deduction entirely. An occasional overnight guest would disqualify the deduction in its entirety.

Yes it is. To qualify for a home office deduction, the part of the house has to be used regularly AND EXCLUSIVELY for business use.
