You don't go into detail re: how deep a depression, why you think you are depressed, or what the "almost everything" is.
See your medical doctor and make sure there are no physical reasons. If none are found she/he can refer you to a psych. or analyst or a mental health clinic. Don't just quit trying! Good Luck...

Hi There,
I see most everyone is pushing you to do it on your own, and if you can - GREAT! But sometimes the disease is out of control and you need professional help. I was at that stage over one year ago. I now go about once a month to get a treatment called "ECT" (electro-convulsive therapy). You can read about it at http://www.psycom.net/depression.central.ect.html
Please understand, I am on several medications, I do self-help therapy and follow all my physicians directions but still I do need the ECT every so often. It has literally saved my life!
Talk to your physician and see what he or she recommends. In many cases - "The Doctor Knows Best". But, never hesitate to get a second opinion, your physician should be understanding of this and if not, maybe consider another physician.
Best of Luck to you! I hope all goes well.

Yes, but it takes much work and being responsible for your own mental health.
You have to work at it daily, sometimes hourly, retrain your mind to only think on positive things, learn to love yourself as you are, learn to see the negative things that happened in your life as learning tools, and use positive affirmations to help you along.
Therepy can be useful, but only if you are willing to work with your counselor.
Certain vitamins can help too. I have to take B 12 everyday, plus a GOOD multi-vitamin.
It took me a while, but I succeeded in getting out of chronic, clinical depression, without drugs.
But, the major point is, take responsibility for your own life, except that you have made mistakes, learn from them, and put them behind you. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO DWELL ON THE PAST OR NEGATIVE. Fill up the emptiness with positive activities.
Good Luck

Have you heard of the new movie "The Secret". Alot people think it's about business and finance, but really it's about being the person you want to be. In general, the secret is to know what you want and live that way. I'd definatley recommend renting or buying it and seriously watch it with your undivided attention. This will help you realize what you problem is, as well as what you need and should want to do to make YOU the person that YOU want to be.

That means you would do anything? What most people say is don't dwell on your problems and get over it. I think one must really try doing nothing and focusing on one's thoughts and emotions to be certain of what one is doing and what one hopes to achieve by it. As long as your motives and goals are grounded with what is in your control and you are centered with what is within your power to change. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Begin to appreciate and see the potentality in getting better, rather than holding on to your old habits and Drama. because it is what you are used to...

Force the ego from the body and recondition yourself to function beyond your present state and ability... Think out of the box so to speak and being to intentionally behave differently as a delibrate end result of actually TRYING to think, feel and act differently. On purpose...

Think of it as acting... Be an actress all the time and behave as you would like to be rather than how you are used to being. Your brain will rewire itself and learn how to function differently all on it's own. It will take time... but it will.

It is hard, it sucks and it is the most rewarding thing you will ever suffer through in your life when you make it out the other end.

It's like learning to trade the addiction of over eating for the addiction of working out... That is all people who get healthy do when they lose weight... replace one habit or negative impulse with it's alternative or opposite behavior.

THink of it like this: Energy is energy... Energy produces thought and through produces physical results... If you change your energy, you change your thoughts and therefore your manefestations will come out differently on the other end as well.

You start with changing little things like your pattern of speech... Change your negative tendencies and re train yourself to think, act and therefore become positive.

Hypnosis helps in this way too...
