1) 1 - its an old style alarm which goes off the next time it hits 9 (it says regular alarm, nothing about it being a digital alarm clock, bbut this is getting out dated.)
2) yes there is a 4th of july, its just not independence day in england

7) 1 hour (you take one at 0, one at .5 hr and one at 1 hr)

1 13hrs...u said NORMAL alarmclock, Normal alarmclock can differenciate between am and pm, windup clocks however can not, had it been a wind-up clock he would have only slept for 1 hr
