This is for my few friends (India), who got a chance to work in New Zealand. They got the chance through an engineer working in a Construction Company in New Zealand. He told them there are 900 different vacancies in his company, with or without educational qualifications. Is it possible to get a job in New Zealand without any educational qualification? He said they would get group work visa for all 900 persons. Is that possible? He collected around $1023 from each person as visa processing and agent charges. He also told them he wants another $2273 from each person for flight ticket from India to New Zealand. Is this the right way to recruit people to New Zealand? Pls help my friends.

Hold it, right there!
This sounds like a con, and should be walked away from.
There are no major construction projects under way at present in the country that require 900 people to be flown in from overseas.
Jobs are available (within strict parameters) for unqualified people, but it depends on what is required and what your aptitude is.
Working in NZ for overseas residents is generally restricted to agricultural, horticultural, and seasonal orchard work, plus the hospitality industry and tour guide translator/interpreter.
Check with your nearest New Zealand Government representitive.

No, I think the whole thing is a fraud. Ask the engineer
to produce the receipts for the visa processings. Go to
the New Zealand consulate for confirmation on the work
permits. I am afraid that you may have been cheated.
