You have the customs and the commandments of the Old Testament completely confused.
Shaving eyebrows, wearing certain clothing, worshiping with the head covered or not, and other such beliefs of the times, were only customs of those generations.
Commandments of God, such as the Ten Commandments, never go out of style as the customs do.
Once you learn to differentiate between God's commandments and the customs of the day you will better understand your personal role in your faith.

I'm not a Fundamentalist Christian, but as a Jew I'd like you to know that our 613 commandments never applied to anyone, but ourselves. They are a part of our Covenant with God. They are not a burden, but a joy and a pleasure. When the Christian sect broke away entirely from the Jewish people, they were given a new covenant. No one has ever been able to explain to me exactly what the "new testament" is, but from what I understand it is simply that if you believe Jesus, you will have eternal life.
Jews believe that all the nations have a share in the world to come as long as they follow the seven Noahide commandments. There is no eternal punishment in Judaism. The Christian concept of hell comes from either Mithras or Zoroastrianism.

Part of the problem is; there is the added old testament (Genesis-Malachi; violating 2 Tim. 3:16-17) and there is the scriptural old testament; the law of Moses.
The law of Moses was done away with when Christ died on the cross nearly 2000 years ago, and technically we 'Christians' are not bound to it. However, a lot (not all) of the law of Moses was reauthorized by Jesus in the New Testament.

I am not a fundamentalist.
I do not believe the Bible to be taken absolutely as it is seen in all cases.
To your question:
If you are a true Christian, you will not follow the old testament. You will be intent on the New Testament.
You will know that the old testament was there to prove that you yourself could not work your way into heaven. That it would have to be done by accepting The Lord to do it for you. ( Faith )
Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.

The OT scriptures are generally a good rule of thumb (the ten commandments), but are not the "LAW" anymore as that was taken care of by Jesus. By OT law, just about everyone on earth right now should be stoned to death, but Jesus said to let the one without sin cast the first stone. That is the gist of it, if you don't feel that this answers your question try http://www.gotquestions.org

Well, i would say that us Christians should dress modestly and that we should not be of the world or for the world..but because we live in the world we are supposed to show other people our light and try to show them that we have something good and we want you to have it to. We do need to dress modestly and not show off things, but i dont think it matters whether we have to different fibers on or not. Not every commandment ups us to this century because its really old but most of us Christian should obey most of them.

Paul and the writings present day in Acts make it extremely undeniable that the gentile converts to Christianity were no longer required to go back lower than the former covenant as a thanks to change right into a Christian. You advise that God's people will be keeping the former covenant. something incorrect with the hot covenant? you don't like the better covenant with better substances? you want the not virtually as good because the better? as far as who has the authority, God, who expresses His authority contained in the writings of those who were stimulated via Him to write down the N.T. Scriptures. for this reason, who's ignoring this authority that makes it sparkling to all of us who reads issues in context that Christians weren't in any respect a celebration to that previous covenant, and the former covenant ended? .

You are supposed to follow the OT laws, Jesus was very specific on this point...
1) “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so.
2) All of the vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever. "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
3) Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
3b) "All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16 NAB)
3c) "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." (2 Peter 20-21 NAB)
4) Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark.7:9-13 "Whoever curses father or mother shall die" (Mark 7:10 NAB)
5) Jesus is criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient children according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7)
6) Jesus has a punishment even worse than his father concerning adultery: God said the act of adultery was punishable by death. Jesus says looking with lust is the same thing and you should gouge your eye out, better a part, than the whole. The punishment under Jesus is an eternity in Hell. (Matthew 5:27)
7) Peter says that all slaves should “be subject to [their] masters with all fear,” to the bad and cruel as well as the “good and gentle.” This is merely an echo of the same slavery commands in the Old Testament. 1 Peter 2:18
8) “Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19) and “For the law was given by Moses,..." (John 1:17).
9) “...the scripture cannot be broken.” --Jesus Christ, John 10:35
So, as you can see, you should be off stoning and killing lots of people. You might as well get started as there's a LOT to be done. Of course now there's a problem... either killing disobedient children is the infallible word of god (the bible says it no less than 4-5 times) or the bible is wrong. Your choice.
