if a guy is not ready for marriage or afraid to ask his g/f. ive been with my b/f for 2 1/2 years, he says he wants to get married but he doesnt have the money for a ring and if he did he would have asked me already.

money doesnt matter to me its being with the one u love that counts. i dont care what the ring costs or anything like that. he knows that too.

the ring is the least important part if you love eachother it wouldnt matter you could still be engaged without a ring

If he was ready to marry you, he would have found a way to get you a ring. How old are you? If you are under 25, you are too young for marriage any way.

he isn't, that's the simplest answer i can give you. my boyfriend pulled the same thing with me, and now we are having problems about him not having enough "freedom". i don't know if he was just lying to me, or if he scared himself into thinking that things were moving to fast.
oh, and i agree with your money doesn't matter attitude... i feel the same way. but like the other answer said... there are such things as payment plans, and if he loves you and knows you truly love him then he would know that the ring isn't a huge issue and ask you anyway, at least that's what i told my boyfriend.

skip the ring and get married. I did - my wife and I have been married for 23 years now after dating 3 months.
