Yes, they can run out of memory. You can't put 10 lbs of bologna into a 5 lb bag.

Say you have a 1GB card and each photo is a 2MB file. 1GB=1000MB, therefore you can fit 500 photos on the card before it is out of memory. You can download the photos onto your computer at any time and then erase the memory card and start over. Memory cards can be used over and over again.

I never heard of a card loosing it's memory, if that's what you mean. However, you can fill them up and use up the memory space but all ou gotta do is delete some of the pictures you have taken and you can free up space in that way. There are also different size cards. GB(giga bitz), and MB(mega bitz). A 16 MB memory card is not big at all, which is what usually comes with most cameras. Also, Memory cards for cameras are often called SD cards.

No, it is not true. Internal memory will hold the image in process of taking a picture. When that picture is done, it is transfer to an external memory. After this transfer, the internal memory becomes empty.

Manufactures design the internal memory big enough to process 1 image or more. They called it number of fames/second.

memory as in RAM? no, they don't..but they will run out of storage space once the storage memory is used up. for example if 512MB, if you use up 70-80% of the storage memory within it, you will be unable to use it afterwards..

Of course! They will only hold a certain amount of data, and when the card it full, you will need to download the images to your computer, or another device, erase or re-format the card.
